Grief? Anger? Rage?
We have a major storm bringing heavy snow and hurricane-like winds and blizzard conditions to Boston right now. New Englanders call these storms Nor’easters. The weather report tells us to expect between 12 – 16 inches of snow! All the schools and most businesses are closed today. How appreciative am I to be warm and toasty inside drinking my cup of tea and watching the birds who are covered in snow as they eat one seed at a time from the bird feeder.
Life! We must roll with the punches from sunny tropical days to blizzard snowy conditions. Life is all about staying neutral and going with the flow. “No Flow – No Go.”
Do you judge yourself?
I have spent most of my life judging myself and my experiences. As I have become more mindful of my emotions, I have spent time and energy judging those, too. I have spent a ton of energy judging and labeling the experience or emotion more than I did living through it.
I have run away from grief and ridiculed myself repeatedly for experiencing anger and rage. I have put labels on my fear and guilt and buried these emotions deep down inside. This is what causes disease, (dis-ease) my friends.
What I have discovered is the power of staying neutral. I now become mindful of the situation, and I look at it as a life lesson I must learn.
I am free to have the experience (good or bad) and accept the life lesson as part of my spiritual growth. Staying neutral brings me peace and empowers me to learn the life lesson far quicker so I can check mark that situation off my list and move on with grace.
Let yourself have and feel the experiences of your life because you have created them. We choose our life experiences. Let the energy of the experience pass through you without judgment. Learn to let others have their emotions and life lessons, too.
Prue’s quote of the day: “Discover the power of neutral and become mindful of the experience. It is a sacred time that will help you grow and heal.”
At Prue’s Place we are healing our lives one day at a time.
